Safety first

How we keep every ride safe

Securement, boarding, and preparation steps our attendants follow on every Non-Emergency Medical Transport.

Wheelchair securement

The chair is locked, then anchored with four-point straps to the vehicle floor, plus a separate lap and shoulder belt for the passenger. Nothing moves until every strap is checked.

Ramp & lift boarding

The ramp or lift is deployed on level ground with the path cleared of steps, thresholds, and loose rugs. An attendant guides and steadies the chair or stretcher for the full boarding.

Stretcher transfers

Bed-to-stretcher transfers are done by trained attendants using proper technique, with rails locked and straps fastened before the vehicle moves.

Pickup preparation

Have the passenger ready 15 minutes early with ID, insurance card, medication list, and any oxygen or mobility equipment. Share gate codes, building entrance, floor, and room number when you book.

Common questions

Know what to expect before pickup

What is Non-Emergency Medical Transport?

Non-Emergency Medical Transport is for people who need wheelchair, stretcher, or mobility assistance getting to appointments, dialysis, discharges, and care facilities. It is scheduled transportation for medical needs—not an emergency response service.

How do you keep passengers safe during a ride?

Our attendants secure mobility equipment before departure and provide careful assistance during boarding, transfers, and arrival. We confirm the patient's needs before the ride so the right support is planned.

What happens during pickup?

An attendant meets the passenger at the agreed pickup point, helps them safely to the vehicle, secures the wheelchair or stretcher, and stays with them through drop-off. Please tell us if bedroom or door-through-door assistance is needed.

How do I book an appointment?

Call (747) 745-7745 for the fastest response, or use the request-a-ride form below. Share the pickup address, destination, date, time, mobility needs, and appointment type so our team can check availability and call to confirm.

How far in advance should I request a ride?

Call as soon as you know the appointment time so we can check availability. Same-day rides may be available, and recurring appointments can be scheduled in advance.

How do you keep the pickup itself safe?

Before the passenger moves, our attendant checks the path for steps, thresholds, loose rugs, and weather hazards, then positions the ramp or lift on level ground. Wheelchairs are locked and secured with four-point straps plus a lap and shoulder belt, and stretchers are strapped and rail-locked before the vehicle moves.

What assistance does the driver provide?

Our team provides door-through-door help: we come to the door, assist from the room or bedside, manage doors and elevators, help with transfers into the vehicle, and walk the passenger into the clinic or facility and hand off to staff. Attendants do not provide clinical or medical care during transport.

Can a family member or caregiver ride along?

Yes. One caregiver can usually ride at no extra cost — just tell us when you book so we reserve the seat and plan the securement layout.

What should I have ready before transport?

Have the passenger dressed and ready 15 minutes early with their photo ID and insurance card, appointment name, address, and time, a list of medications, any oxygen or portable equipment, mobility equipment (wheelchair, walker, transfer belt), and the return-trip contact number. Note gate codes, building entrance, floor, and room number so pickup is not delayed.
